Individual Therapy for those in Fremantle and surrounding areas.

I offer in-person sessions at my private rooms and via Telehealth.

When you build a relationship with a caring, attuned therapist will find new ways to solve old problems, process and heal past wounds and change the way you live your life.  I use evidence-based strategies to support clients and therapists in exploring their history and uncovering patterns that have been running the show out of their awareness, so they can begin to better regulate their emotions and be excited about their lives and relationships again.

I offer both a ‘top down’ cognitive understanding of issues as well as a body-inclusive, ‘bottom up’, experiential understanding of yourself.

Telehealth

In addition to in-person appointments, I also offer Telehealth.

This service is valuable to those in regional communities and FIFO workers. It suits those working from home, those feeling a little off colour and can be handy if you just can’t face the traffic today. In the current climate, more people are choosing to access Telehealth rather than a face-to-face appointment. I find both face-to-face and Telehealth sessions valuable in different ways and am happy to talk to you about the pros and cons of this modality.

Clinical Supervision

I offer a safe, experimental space for curiosity, reflection and exploration of self and client material. This may be about the dynamic you are struggling with between you and your client, something provoked in you by a client’s material or something you are trying to understand about yourself or the therapeutic process. It's an opportunity to become aware of blind spots or unconscious material. Based on your needs and preferences, I may offer gentle guidance or I may invite you into an experiential, somatic process to understand some aspect of yourself or the other from the 'bottom up'. This can offer new and helpful information not available using our analytical or interpretive skills.

Setting aside regular time for our own needs with an experienced therapist is key to feeling clear, grounded and resourced personally and professionally.

As therapists, we inhabit two places when we sit in the chair. The first, as a human being experiencing and the second as the therapist holding the space. In supervision, I offer you an experience of exploring both.

Supervision is a powerful agent of growth for therapists and health professionals. It is a genuinely collaborative, process that aims to enhance clinical skills and to provide valuable personal support. It also offers the opportunity to come to understand your own unconscious organisation.

Being a therapist is a remarkably rewarding job but it is hard work at times. Aspects of our work can leave us feeling drained and burnt out. We carry the emotional burden of hearing and witnessing client struggles, ethical dilemmas, the need to keep work separate from their personal lives and the struggle of dealing with tricky clients. Confidentiality restrictions and working alone can leave us feeling isolated and unsupported. In addition, we spend so much time and energy being there for others it is easy to overlook the importance of allowing someone to hold space for us.
